The passion of this group is infectious and it spread to me. David posted two early Frigidaire's on Facebook and they called to me. One has a shaft seal issue, so I hope to bother David to help me with it. I spoke to the current owner on the phone and he's as nice as can be and has a beautiful collection. I'm going to drive up to see them in two weeks and I'm quite excited. He has a few running that he believes are the last in the country. I'll ask if I can take pictures and get some more information on those. You've likely seen these pictures, but here are the two I'm going to get. Anyone know the years of these? My guess is late 20s for the two tone and early 30s for the taller one. Unfortunately, this means I had to say goodbye to my 1949 Frigidaire DL-86P. My wife made me part with it before acquiring anything else and it was a reasonable request. I was able to fix the thermostat (bulb placement issue) and the unit ran flawlessly from that point on. She was being thrown out for scrap when I found it, but she found a second life. The woman who bought it was so excited and now wants to use it as her main refrigerator.

That’s great. Nice belt drive Frigidaires there. It really is infectious.
