Hello - I've been nursing along our original relay for our CA-2-B16, but a NOS R-type relay appeared on eBay and I snapped it up. According to the manual it evidently needs a backplate and special hardware to attach it in place of the original horizontal relay - can anyone help me with these? It would be much appreciated.

hi, not quite sure what "nursing it along" means. is it still working ? CA is a methal formate machine and i dont believe it uses a type R relay. is the relay mounted on the outside of the condenser ? i f so its probably noit a type R. i think "coldspaces is the guy on here for CA machines. i sold someone a relay for a CA a few months ago but dont have the model # in front of me. is it still working ?

They made brackets to mount type R relays on CA machines. In my experience, they weren’t used often. I’ve seen a type R on two CA form A units, but haven’t run across one on a form B yet.
