Very interesting that they refer to the whole line as hotpoint there. Makes me think that hotpoint must have been a very strong brand over there before GE introduced their refrigerator line. Also cool to see the shelves in the door since they didn’t have to deal with Crosley’s patent over there. It’s also interesting because it’s a wartime ad. Thank you for sharing!

Hotpoint kitchen appliances were just a rebadge of Australian General Electric. Yes, it was a very popular brand here, but gone by the end of the 1970's.

Hotpoint kitchen appliances were just a rebadge of Australian General Electric. Yes, it was a very popular brand here, but gone by the end of the 1970's. They were also a long time manufacturer of commercial fryers, and one of the first companies to market an electric fryer.
