Hello,
New owner of a GE globe top in the San Diego area. My unit seems to work ok, but have a question or two for the group.
1. What is the purpose of the threaded exposed stud coming out of the control box at the top inside of the frigerator?
2. My refrigerator gets cold but appears to be on the warm side. Adjusted the screw on the control box out about 4 turn. Does this sound about right?
Thanks!

The temperature adjustment is the unmarked knurled shaft pointing down when you look up at the unit with your head inside the door.

I would read the section on adjusting the control for a CG which is located in the scotch yoke service manual. You can find that in the top of the CK section.
