It seams that my thermostat is not working. The bellows is not working. I can force the contacts together and the unit will run but will not shut off. The number on the control box is MIA261. I can’t find the cut in and cut out temp setting. On mine the end of the tube is clamped to the side of the evaporator. I would like to find a replacement thermostat to install in my unit. Can you help me with this?

I also have an FEA unit. When I got it, there were problems with the cold control. I purchased a couple different "fits all old refrigerators" type of cold controls and had very poor results. I spent HOURS on the internet searching for the specific replacement. I was hampered by the fact that I read the number on the cold control the same way you did.... MIA-261. In fact, the number is M1A-261. The critical difference is the digit "1" following the "M" rather than the letter "I". I finally found a scan of a cross reference chart that had the magic answer in it. The proper replacement for that control is the Robertshaw 3030 501. Here's the URL to the place from which I ordered it. Looks like it's a little over thirty dollars. www.patriot-supply.com/products/showitem.cfm/ROBERTSHAW_3030_501My FEA works beautifully now. I have it in my home office and use it for soda and water as well as for overflow from the kitchen refrigerator. I often buy milk in quantity (12 half gallons at a time) which lasts me about two weeks. The FEA does a great job keeping it cold. I actually have two FEA's and I love them. If you need tips about the door gasket or the trim strip that goes on the bottom edge of the "hood", let me know. I found inexpensive and effective ways to deal with both of those issues. My email is bill dot zagar at gmail dot com. Take care and let me know how it works out. Bill

Well I installed the Ranco A30-301 which is equivalent to the Robertshaw and it seems to be working. Thanks to those who had input on the thermostat subject.

I’m glad you got it going. Keep the fan oiled, the condenser clean, and the unit defrosted and it should be good for a long long time.
