By chance if anyone is looking for the valve adapter kit that works well for these monitor tops I am looking for one ... struck out so far on the sources listed on the other thread for suppliers - thanks

They come up from time to time, you just have to keep checking.

Excuse the potential ignorance of this question, but no way to use a threaded adapter to go from the port to a 1/4” schraeder valve?

Excuse the potential ignorance of this question, but no way to use a threaded adapter to go from the port to a 1/4” schraeder valve? The port contains a screw in needle valve that takes a Bristol key. So yes, you can open the valve with just a Bristol key, but the problem then is making an air tight connection to the vacuum pump/nitrogen cylinder/refrigerant cylinder. Some restorers have added in a Schrader valve, but except in the case of CA units, the existing refrigerant has to be removed first. BTW, I used to find "hermetic kit" would usually bring up something on ebay - although there's nothing right at present.

I bought 2 off eBay that were not complete and made one whole . So if someone is interested send pm . I have a another one I bought years ago that is the one I well use . But you might want to keep a lookout for incomplete ones and make a whole one out of it . The Bristol keys I’ve posted before where you can buy them . Look through the posts.
