I'm looking for one of the small, apartment sized fridges. a relative of mine recently acquired an early 1900's Victorian style home with a kitchen that desparately needs a monitor top in it. I'm normally located in north central Texas, but I travel often for work. Currently I'm in the Fulton, MO area and will be for roughly a month. I might consider a larger size, but I think one of the smaller ones would fit better.

Either surprisingly or understandably; depending on your viewpoint; they seem to be easier to sell / harder to find than full-size ones. I know there are several collectors in Missouri so maybe one of them can offer some assistance.

Have you checked eBay and craglist? Also I guess Facebook has a market place also I would recommend a ck as the last ones made they should be the most trouble free for you . But they we’ll all need some TLC no matter which one you find.

Good points as always. Yes Facebook Marketplace is great. I realize that some people don't want to have a Facebook account for various reasons. I recommend you create a profile for the only reason of being able to use this feature, even if you don't otherwise use Facebook.
EDIT: Here's a cute little CA-1 with a snazzy paint job in eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/223065274644

I have been checking craigslist and the Facebook marketplace fairly frequently, I figured I might as well throw an ad up here just in case someone had a 'spare' one.

Hi Zach, There are a lot of great resources here. If you find a unit that is non repairable within reason, I have had success in retrofitting a unit with a new compressor, condenser unit. I mounted it under the unit and controlled it with a commercial digital thermostat. Of course it’s not a restoration like many desire but it does work and I was able to adapt the existing evaporator so it appears original. There are members here that can rebuild compressors and all other components but if your interested I can advise how to retrofit an inoperable unit.

There's a non-working DRA2 in Southern Wisconsin for $75: www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/480844352451736/They're small enough to fit in a car, if you can get the top off. I'd snatch it up if it were close to me. You might get lucky and find out it's only a minor control issue, or the compressor is stuck and be freed, or an easy-to-repair break in one of the lines. It may also be a wonderful opportunity to arrange take it to coldspaces in Chillicothe, IL to have it looked at on the way back.

That's tempting... If I wasn't 6 hours away and working crazy hours right now I would be all over it.
