2 Liters of Methyl Formate. Apparently the 2 Liter bottle does not get shipped in a tin like the 1 Liter bottle. Attachments:

Does this mean you're now an approved Sigma Aldrich customer?

Yep.
By the way, my understanding after speaking with someone at Sigma-Aldrich is this is safe to store at room temperature but should be refrigerated before opening to lower pressure?
I currently have it stored safely in our kitchen where the temperature rarely goes above 74F and is usually below 72F.

That's fantastic! What did you say it was going to be used for?
The absence of the sealed tin is probably why the 2 litre bottle isn't available in Australia; a bit more fragile for shipping.
For storage, be aware that it boils at only 32C. When I refilled the CA-2, it was summer with typical room temp around 25C, so I refrigerated the bottles before opening them. Now we're in winter here with room temp probably around 16C, I didn't bother cooling the bottle before filling the CA-1. Of course, what better place to store the bottle than inside the same Monitor Top it was used to fill!

I told them basically the same thing you did, which was the truth. I was going to use it in a rotary chiller unit.

Happy New Year Chris J. Would I be able to buy a 2 litre of Methyl Formate from you?

Hi Mike, I'm sorry but I don't sell it. The bottle pictured above was used in my machine. A lot was wasted due to a few mistakes I had made.

Very interesting. Hideously expensive though; about $1230 to refill a fridge - 40 bottles required at least.
