Good chance I'll be picking up a FEA compressor to swap out the one I have. Any tips for transporting? I know locking mounts on it are supposed to be used.. Can I lay it on its side or will oil leak out?

It is best if you make a crate for it to sit in out of 2x4s. You can do it without it but the crate keeps it level and lets you strap in to something that will not tip and move as easy as the unit sitting at some funny angle.

I'd keep it level if it was mine... Not all FEAs have compressor locks...

Stan, If it's 30 min away, lay the evaporator on a moving blanket and go get it. Try to not hit unnecessary bumps.
