Ok well the CA I found is pretty shot and am only parting it out because I found a CK which has a real good base for a nice restoration. Let me know your needs, I have racks, some electrical, nice foot lever and rod, and door and hard ware. The power switch and trim look nice as does the original power relay and does work, I tested it. I need a light bulb plug and blades and the interior shelves. Thanks Matt

You can email Zach zmccurter@gmail.com for replacement light socket connectors. The email in the suppliers section is wrong and needs to be updated. My apologies.

Matt,
Good luck with your CK. In order to have a chance of finding shelves, we need to know what cabinet you have. I second what the previous poster has said, contact Zach about the reproduction light plug.

Hi, I am new to this forum and could not figure out how to [post so saw your post and decided to reply. anyway my son was given a fully functioning CK B16 monitor top refrigerator. being of new generation he wasn't interested in refrigerator part, what he did was to remove the top compressor and freezer unit and turn the base into a smoker. I have been in field of collectables and Antiques for many years, it kinda erked me but what are you gonna do, it also drove me nuts when his wife white washed an oak desk, ( if she only knew how impossible it is to remove paint from all the little grooves in oak) anyway not knowing if anyone would be of interest thought I would ask. I am located just 50 miles outside of Yosemite National Park in Mariposa California. from what he told me he just cut the lines and removed said the smell of whatever rushing out was awful HA!. I checked to see what was on the metal tag on back of compressor it has CK B16. I realize mailing this would be absurd, hate to see it go to waste out in weather so thought I would ask.

What a terrible decision. The gas was sulphur dioxide, which is very bad for health and the environment. Making a smoker from the fridge is another terrible idea because the materials used in the cabinet are not fireproof and will likely emit many carcinogenic compounds when heated up by use as a smoker.
We have a few members here from California who may be interested in the compressor. You would need to crimp closed the lines to keep air / moisture out of it while it's in storage.
Sincerely, David

Anyone that knowingly cuts a refrigeration line on an so2 machine deserves everything that comes out. Poor CK2.

I know this thread is from a long time ago, but do you still have the CA's motor start relay and/or the power cord going to it>
