I've been advised by Antique Appliances that the screw size for the Textolite strips is 10-32. Important to know if you need to re tap the holes in the screw strips. Note that the reproduction screws have a slightly thicker head than the originals. This gives a much better fit with the screwdriver, but is visibly different to the originals. For aesthetics, unless you're replacing all the screws, put the new ones on the underside of the door and the Textolite strip opposite the latch.

I actually measured some from our 37 model CK and the originals are 10-30, I'm sure of it. They originally were not the now common 10-32 that modern replacement screws probably are.

That would make sense as the 10-32 screws are a tighter fit than the originals.

They are 10-30 thread. Taps are still available from ENCO but it's an old pitch pretty much superceded by 10-32. It's no problem running a 10-32 tap through the hole and changing it to a readily available screw size. The material removed is miniscule and it's a very low stress application. A cordless drill with reverse works great. An excellent tapping fluid is bacon grease. Works better than commercial tapping fluid..............Bob
