hey folks just got a CK-1B16 ,on off switch missing, i can get it turned on and it cools great just doesn't cycle. does anyone have a on off thermostat switch or any ideas?i have to jimmy the switch to get it turned on...help Thanks 719-250-0176

That’s unfortunate. I’m not sure where a switch would pop up. Glad that it works though. How does the wiring look? I’m assuming it is very brittle and crumbling. We have guides in the CK section on how to rewire them.

You can improvise around it, with stuff that is available, won't be authentic but you can use it. You will need a thermostat, AND a overload protector, which is part of the original control. Be careful until you do, it takes about 30 seconds to burn out a motor without the protector.
But first, as ckfan said, you will have to commit to a re-wire and door gasket. Unless that's already been done.
What exactly happened to the control you have, and what's left of it? These things are repairable if not too badly vandalized.

Don’t know where you’re located but they are out there here’s one that’s on craglist. It might take a while but I think that might be your best bet to find one .
