Howdy folks - just listed my little CA on Craigslist here in VA yesterday. Would've posted here first but some recent updating wiped out much of my bookmarked and other saved site data, so it took me a little while to find my way back. Got this in a trade with a guy who was buying my house some years ago, maybe 5? It worked fine when he had it but somewhere between then and his delivering to my folks place (I was living in NC at the time) he managed to lose the power cord. It will need a good clean up and painting, the compressor paint has 'yellowed' a bit from surface rust. There is also a small area of rust on the rear lower cabinet. Has one shelf included. Also has inside light. Listed on CL for $150, members here can have it for $100. Need the garage space for other projects. Thanks.

Very nice, I like! If only we weren't half a continent apart-- And thank you Very Much for posting pictures, instead of a Craigslist link that goes away in a little while! Please don't leave outdoors; rain will damage the cabinet

It's outdoors but under cover, not left in the rain. It's stored in my pole barn across the driveway, though that will change if it doesn't sell in the next day or two.
Why? Well, it's like this....
I really liked the little box and had high hopes for it, but life got busy. The power cord was lost and I never got around to finding a substitute.
Then last night after posting it on here, I was out in the garage unpacking some stuff (moved a year ago and still have stuff in boxes) when I came across the old extension cord I have with a single outlet end. Curiosity got the better of me. Plugged the old girl in and away it went.
Gave it a few minutes and checked, the little icebox evap unit was getting cold and before long had some frost on it.
Unplugged it to plug in the light on back of cabinet (original cord must've had two receptacles). Screwed in a 40w bulb, shut the door, plugged it in. opened the door - voila! Light and switch both work.
Wife said her old Hotpoint can go (next to the big fridge in my avatar) so if no one scoops the CA up, I'll sell the Hotpoint and move the CA into the garage.
This is what happens when you finally get back to a project after the fact....

Well, it looks like that won't happen after all. We started hauling things out of the pole barn to clean/organize/downsize the amount of 'stuff' and we agreed that it needs to go. Just no time or space for it now.
I did put a thermometer inside and let it run for about an hour while I was working. Freezer/evap got down to 32 degrees and box was down to 52 when I unplugged it. Nice, even coating of light frost around the evaporator sides, aided no doubt by the high humidity that day.
It does need a good cleaning and probably a little tinkering or 'servicing'. Foot pedal needs to be freed up from sitting, stuff like that.
If I'm unable to find a home for it I will likely part it out so it can revive or otherwise keep some other units going. Hinges, latch, shelf rack, legs, foot pedal, and compressor could all be salvaged. Would really hate to do that, but you can't save them all, and my days of warehousing 'old stuff' are numbered.
Also have a nice old Hotpoint late 40s/early 50s that needs to hit the road. Will get some photos and post. Works excellent.

Damn, both of those units are nice. I wish I knew someone in Virginia who could use them. A working CA form B is on my bucket list.

I was looking for one of the smaller (apartment size fridges) ones for a while now they seem to be coming out of the wood work ca,s mostly one I bought and two others showed up . I guess because they were used less they seem to be in better shape.
