That would make sense.
When I got the refrigerator, I had notice a drop of oil getting ready to drop from the evaporator. I wiped it off and tested it and it came on so I paid it no mind. Yesterday I went out and I saw a puddle of oil about 2" x 5" on the bottom of the inside of the fridge as well as a drop of oil on the evap. Now that was concerning. It looks like clear oil that you would use to charge it with. Is there any other way that oil would end up outside of the system without some kind of leak?

Also, I scored some oven racks that may just fit the fridge. I cleaned them up and they look good.

If there is oil coming out of the evaporator coil that means that you have a small leak in the coil somewhere. If you look closely where the oil is you should see a tiny hole. If you confirm that there is a hole it unfortunately means that the charge of refrigerant has been lost along with the oil.

That is what I was thinking... I will have to look closely to confirm that but it isn't sounding good. I'm surprised that the oil can make its way up there. I don't know much them though.
