Mmmm-- (And that's a big Hmmm, assuming you aren't a troll . OK, first of all you probably want to go to the section for your particular model, I'm assuming the square-top FEA's. If I understand correctly you've been running a FEA for 25 years without a working fan? I suppose that's a testimonial to the durability of the GE scotch yoke compressors, though still a wonder it hasn't gone tits-up before now. And you want to know if it will work better with or without the fan? If the fan will hurt it? (Back to the troll observation). So OK yes, it will work better with the fan.

LOL No troll I'm real and interested to learn.. I do have 3 FEA square top monitors.. I'll post a pic to prove it when I get them. Believe me it's been running 25 years without the fan and it's my everyday box. The reason I'm wondering about it I have one that's not getting cool and that's what got me thinking about my everyday box..
