Ended up with the a drum sander in the dremell and clamped it the vise. At the same time it was spinning I placed the oversize seals tightly on a drill bit in my cordless drill. With a little practice I had some seals that I felt should work good.
Installed them Monday night and then pressurized the system to 120 psi with nitrogen. 22 hours latter it was all still in there. Brazed in a permanent suction schrader, new refrigerant drier and pulled a good vacuum. Then I recharged her with R-12. So far she is working great. Now I am gonna go ahead and rewire it all while it runs here for about 2 weeks. Then it will be time to sell this one.

Well the IH has gone to its new home. The new owners are very glad to have it so that makes the many hours I spent on it worth it. The new owners are from a farm family who really loves their IH tractors. They have a big family wedding soon and the IH lovers that are showing up do not know they have this refrigerator. Many may not even know IH made refrigerators and freezes. Sure wish I could see all their faces when they see it for the first time. Here it is in it new period kitchen.
