Yep legs are plenty strong, to tip the unit over. They bolt on and unless there is rust in the cabinet, they can be taken off pretty easily if necessary. As Travis said, if you forcefully bend the legs, the porcelain can crack. Tipping on one side is fine, but dropping on one side not so much. I know it's nerve-wracking to do something for the first time. But it gets easier each time.

All good advice, the only thing I would stress is it we’ll be very top heavy . So when it gets past the tipping point you’re going to need two people on that side . I have a ckb16 and it was all I could do to hold it up . That’s a very nice looking fridge looking forward to more pictures when you get it moved .

I am reasonably sure they are 10-32 oval countersunk screws, but not sure the length. Travis may know; and if you can't find them he's one if you are wanting to buy some salvaged original ones.

I'm sure I have some. Give me awhile to look. I have lots of unmarked screws.

I finally got the refrigerator home. Now I need to get it out of the trailer. I don't have people here to help. The cooling unit is still in place. I have an engine hoist. I'm thinking I'll lift the cooling unit off so I'll just have the cabinet (without the door) to deal with. I'll buy two lifting straps. www.harborfreight.com/6-12-ft-2000-lbs-capacity-lifting-sling-60609.htmlCan I lift the cooling unit by putting the straps under the "turret" without damaging anything? Or should I put them under the rectangular plate? Any problems with doing this?

I'm glad that you made it home safely. It looks like a beautiful unit. Gary

Thanks, Gary. Last weekend I had a trailer tire blowout.
I'll take pictures (of the problem areas, too), soon.

You should be able to put straps around the fins and condenser coil ok. Just remember that there are hidden lines between the fins so be careful!

Then, place a strong rod / pipe / dowel through the loop on the end of the strap, so that the rod will keep the strap from pulling back up. This will support it pretty level.
