Hopefully, I'll be able to bump the price down once I switch over to molding, as printing requires a lot of preprocessing and post-processing to cure the prints. (We'll see how long that takes) I'll take a look into the other two plugs, I'm talking with Travis to get my hands an example of each. Though if someone can provide me with photos in the meantime, it would be good to take a look at what I'll dealing with.

I should also mention that I wasn’t complaining about the price. I just have to watch my finances. Although I appreciate you looking to make them cheaper. Any kind of specialty item like this has a lot of labor involved so I fully understand that time costs money!

Currently have 3 printed plugs (4 spoken for already), thought I would provide a few pictures of the process. Over this coming week, I'll print another 9. I'll install the threads all at once. After that, I'll be running batches as needed, but not on an individual basis. PM me if you want one, I'll be shipping them out sometime the week of the 16th. Available Plugs: 8 Here's the photos: photos.app.goo.gl/aBUzfBiMkgcCyBhK8

Alright, working on the next plugs, which will be the three power plugs for the DR units. Travis was able to lend me two of them, but there's another plug with slightly different styling. It has more of a serrated edge around the cap of the plug. If someone could lend me this style for a few months as well, that would be great. Here's the two I have. photos.app.goo.gl/7ksrjqnHVCR8MCCM9

Zach,
Another collector is sending you what we think is the original type of plug for a tall control DR. I sent out the alternate version and the short control plug.
Thanks for working on this. I will order some of each once produced.

Nice work zack !! I remember some one needing the knob for an fea , but I would think all the knobs on cks ,crs, and drs would be a great thing to be able to reproduce. But I don’t know how far you want to go down this rabbit hole. I realize you have to be able to recoup your losses.

On/off/defrost knob for my CK-1 is how I teased it with Zach when I loaned him the light plug in the first place... But I'm not about to hold his feet to the fire...

I'll be experimenting with a few different techniques on the DR plugs that I'll be doing. If those work out well, it should greatly cut the development time for molding pieces, which means that I could definitely get around to expanding.

Finally some more good news. I'm finally back to the grind (as of today) and started (as well as finished) the square DR plug design. I'll proceed with test printing as soon as I get back to my printer. The other two round plugs are nearly identical, but the copper pins are fairly complex compared to the basic light plug pins . It's beyond what I would be able to cut by hand accurately. I'm looking into ways to either stamp out or cut the parts needed.
I also pulled the control unit out of my CA, which I believe to have identical knobs to the CK as well. I'll be pulling them and getting them sketched up after I finish with these plugs.
Not sure when anything will go into production. I'm back to looking at printing molds using high temperature resin, and injecting with ABS plastic. Not sure how well that would work. Any fine details would most likely be lost, however further examination of the plugs shows that they were hot stamped once they were molded. It might be possible to get a die made to hot stamp the details. I'm continuing to research and evaluate new ideas. Printing the parts will continue for the foreseeable future, but I'm still rooting for injection molding.

First print of the short DR plug, dimensions match, but warping issues on the edges. Exploring options on the tall plug. Here's a photo of the new plug. photos.app.goo.gl/2ZV6P7aCFFFujfkx5
