I`m replacing the wire to my light,the switch is corroded and wiring was very brittle,I can get to my switch easy enough but the light bulb fixtue in the back wont come loose. I`m not sure whats holding it place,any ideas so I don't break anything else. Thank You

If your cabinet is like what I've worked with (X5, X7) you're going to have to take the inner liner out to remove the light socket. That means undoing all four Textolite strips. From what I recall, there was a screw through the centre and a speed clip on the other side. The wire connections at the back of the light socket were sealed in pitch and the whole thing is fairly well sealed to prevent air entering the cabinet. Taking the inner liner out is also a good opportunity to find out if the insulation is wet and if the cabinet is rusting away from the inside.

Any ideas where I might find a door switch for my light.This one is corroded,its a round chrome switch,let me know thanks
