Yeah, after seeing those run times. I would like to get it repaired. Overall, that would be best for the life of the machine and of course greatly reduce power consumption as well.

David, I sent you a message. I have been watching it closely and have let it run for a few days. Temps have held but run times are still crappy.

David, no problem at all! These pesky day jobs get in the way of our hobbies, but it's sure nice to be able to keep the lights on! Haha
Most of the time I use this forum on my phone and it is MUCH more clunky to write messages and make posts. A few times I have posted things/sent messages and they haven't actually gone through. I'm sure it is user error but its still frustrating when I write two or three paragraphs and it gets lost.
Anyways, no rush. I will probably turn it off once I get to check cycle times again to see if there has been a change after a few days. I know several folks have said CA's do not like setting around and I am sure this thing hasn't ran in 30-40 years. But also don't want the compressor to run excessively for weeks/months. Neither does my bank account!

Update on the CA with the worn float. This weekend I spent a lot of time in the garage working on my new CK and I noticed a change in the cycle times of the CA. With a couple boxes of soda and the shelves inside. It is now running 6 minutes on and 6 minutes off. So the run time has dropped by half! Weird but worth noting I guess. I still plan on getting the float repaired, etc. just wanted to provide an update on it. I am guessing the change is due to the fridge having lots of stuff in it to help maintain temperature versus before the run times were measured on an empty cabinet.

Now if the off-cycle time could be longer; things would be perfect!

Agreed! I feel better using it with the on times being shorter, but I am constantly watching and checking on it. I am hoping I will be able to trust it more once it's had a visit to your shop.
