I have one set up for natural gas. I had to replace the pressure regulator due to a leak and clean the burner. It works great but has only been used a hand full of times in my garage. No plans to use it indoors as I have too much in the house already lol Mine is in storage presently. Nice. I bet there are really, truly very few of these left!

They are still in use in rural areas without power. Hunting cabins and the like. There were a couple people still selling some used and adaptable new parts a few years ago.

Great to know!
Years back, a friend had a camper with a Dometic gas/electric one. The gas side stopped working, but the electric was in use. His camper was more or less a permanent home at that time.

I have one from 1947 and it is still running in my basement. It was my family's main refrigerator until 1972. I have a co detector in the basement so far so good

A gas Servel is worth $100 just to kill it as part of the recall. They only kill you if they're not cleaned and operating right. It's really not fair that the innocent appliance has to die to save the lives of the low hanging fruit.
I believe there are three sizes, the 400, 600 and 800.
I think there's an 800 here is someone wants it. They're ungodly heavy.

A gas Servel is worth $100 just to kill it as part of the recall. Yeah, people are ignorant enough to let them become deteriorated. Then, they didn't have CO detectors back in the day. Now-a-days I would never recommend using any gas appliance in the house without a CO detector.
